Charged a kill fee for the first time — brand was furious

They cancelled the campaign 4 days before I was supposed to post, after I'd already filmed. My contract had a 50% kill fee clause. They paid it but sent a pretty aggressive email. Have you had to enforce this? Was it worth the relationship cost?

TikTok creativity fund is basically a rounding error at this point.

30 days of posting burned me out for weeks after. Quality > quantity every time.

Kill fees exist for a reason. You enforced your contract, that's professional.

I ask for approval rights over the final asset but not the caption. That line works for me.

I've been noticing this too — anyone know if there's a seasonal pattern to brand spend?
